シリーズ終了後も根強い人気を継続、ゴールデン・グローブ賞 2年連続作品賞受賞の人気海外ドラマシリーズ「glee／グリー」。ネット配信がまだ、それ程主流ではない時代、放送開始直後から全世界で話題騒然。ドラマのサウンドトラックが、3作品連続で全米アルバム・チャートの1位を記録する等、全世界で社会現象を巻き起こす大ヒット作となりました。ドラマの基本は、弱小のショー合唱団クラブ（glee club）が、コンクールで全米1位を目指して奮闘する学園ドラマです。しかし、特有の独特なコメディ要素、あらゆるジャンルから選曲されたミュージックナンバー、豪華なゲスト、才能のあるレギュラーキャストで構成されたドラマは、見どころが沢山です！

歌を歌うのが好きな人、洋楽が好きな人、友情・恋愛関係大事だと思う人、学園ドラマ好きの人には最高のドラマです！そして結構英語も比較的わかりやすいかなとは思うのでこれも個人的には勉強に適していると思います。

4. How to get away with Murder 

これもリーガルドラマなんですが、ミステリーも含まれているドラマです。

最初からハラハラドキドキするドラマで結構見返さないとストーリー難しい時もあるので、ちょっと上級向けかもしれませんがみて損はしないので、みてみてください！

このドラマの最大の魅力が誰が犯人なのか本当に当てられないことです！

なので、最後まで考えさせられるしすごくハマります。オススメです。

ということで、今日は以上の４つをご紹介しましたがいかがでしょうか！

個人的に好きなドラマを４つ並べてみました！ただ好きなだけかも。笑

 さて、私は誰かというと、日本の大学に通っている帰国子女です。 

 でも、今日は私についてではなく英語を学ぶステップだけをご紹介したいと思います！ 

 早速！！ 

 1.　NetflixやAmazon Prime等の動画系サブスクは契約せよ！

 さて、これに関しては契約している人も多いかと思います。でもなんでかって？単純です。 できるだけ多くの洋画と海外ドラマを見て欲しいからです。そしてその中でお気に入りの映画、海外ドラマを一つでもいいので探してください。そしてそれをこのステップで見てください。

1.字幕あり（日本語）→　2.日本語吹き替えの字幕あり（英語）→　3.字幕あり（英語）　→　4.字幕なし 

とにかく1-3までは何回でも繰り返してください。字幕なしを見る頃には映画の内容とセリフを覚えてくらいにしましょう。字幕なしを見る頃にはだいたいこの英語はこういう意味だと分かればいいのです。

 日本で教育を受けている人は、映画のように早い英語のリスニングには慣れていません。リスニングを制することができなければ到底喋ることも難しいと思ってください。 

 2. 独り言は英語で言おう  

普段から独り言を言う人がいるかわかりませんが、私は独り言よく言ってます。（笑） なんでもいいんです。物に、ぶつかればOuch!（痛い！）、喉が乾けば　I'm so thirsty. 本当に行動一つに対して独り言を言ってください。家族がいるから恥ずかしいと思う方は、部屋の中でもいいです。静かな声でもいいんです。とにかく英語は口にしなければ習得できません。

3.　毎日日々の出来事を録音しよう 

これは日記のようなものですが、書く代わりに録音します。スマホの容量は奪われてしまいますが録音したものは聞き返すことができるので、自分の英語を恥ずかしがらずに聞いてみてください。そして毎日やることで日々の変化が見えてくると思います。10秒でもいいんです。一文だけでもいいんです。継続することが大事なので無理に朝から晩までの出来事を話さなくてもその日あった一つの出来事だけでもいいです。 

 4. 目標を持とう  

これはみなさん持っていると思いますが、目標は持ちましょう。何のために英語を学びたいのか。留学？資格？国際交流するため？誰かをあっと言わせるため？小さなことでもいいんです。そして目標がないのであれば英語資格を取るための予約だけでもしましょう。お金はかかってしまいますが、これも一つの方法なのかくらいに考えておいてください。 

 ということで、今日はこのくらいにしておきます！

2. 受難のファザード

受難のファザードは登っていないのでわからないのですが、こちらもバルセロナの街が一望できると聞きました。

どちらに登っても満足すると思うので、インスタグラムや検索機能を使ってどちらがいいのか事前に調べてみるのもいいかなと思います。

どちらもエレベーターで上がってから階段で下がります。

I'm sure many of you have these already if you like to travel but there are two USB type plugs and one for any.

変換プラグを持っている方多いかもしれませんが、これはUSBタイプのプラグが２つと普通のが１つついているのです！

So you can charge two smartphones and use another for your hair straightener  for instance.

なので、スマホを２台同時に充電しながらもう一つは例えばコテを繋げることもできるのです。

This is also very useful. It's a must bring tool for me.

Last but not least, it's slightly expensive but definitely my must must must bring item.

最後は、少しお高めですが必ず絶対絶対絶対に持っていくものです。

そうです、チェキです！
I never forget this as I'd like to keep photos as polaroids. 

私は現像された写真を残したいので、これは絶対に忘れません。

When I look back at it, it brings back memories and of the time the photos are actually being taken.

見返すたびに写真を撮った瞬間のことを思い出すんです。

Polaroid films are expensive too so everytime I take a shot I try not to waste it and those moments are the ones you remember the most so I love polaroids.

チェキはフィルムも高いので一枚一枚大事にとるのですが、大事に撮る時こそ一番覚えているものなので、すごく好きです。

Also, this one is a square shaped one so the film and the camera itself is very stylish!

I also ate noodles at the airport SO GOOD.

It was about 6SGD for a bowl of noodles and a small bowl of soup.

My friend arrived safely, we headed to the hotel and swam at the pool.

Then met our friend from Singapore for dinner.

We ate at the Newton Food Centre.

Cheap, tasty and various types of food you can enjoy.

Walked around Orchard after that and found this.

Ice sandwiched with waffles! I had mango ice cream and literally it was MANGO.

Went back to the hotel for the day.

Day 2:

We went to get Hainanese Chicken Rice in the morning from the famous "Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice". 

Literally the best chicken rice ever. 

Chicken rice was $4.5 each. 

That big juice was only about $2. I couldn't finish it. It was BIG.

After having lunch here, we went to the water park! 

Back to the hotel, got ready for dinner and went to Clarke Quay.

We had dinner at SONG FA BAK KUT TEH

Didn't get photos but free refill of the soup! We had so many refills. 

The soup had a real good taste of the pork.

Day 3:

The next day we went to Ya Kun Kaya Toast for breakfast.

This was really new for me as we don't have places to eat like this in Japan with just toast.

But the kaya toast with the paste was good and as tiny as it is, it actually made me quite full.

It comes with egg and tea/coffee if you get a set menu.

We went shopping for the rest of the day and for our last dinner our friend took us to the CHIJMES.

Such a beautiful area with many restaurants and a church.

After dinner, we headed to the Super Globe Tree!
AT MIDNIGHT because we just got lost and everything on the way.

But it was worth it. I think we may have gone too late at night that the branches didn't have any lights lit up but it was still so relaxing surprisingly there. 

Wish we saw what it was like during the day but at least we got to see it!

Last day:

We went to eat the chicken rice again. ;)

We walked around China Town , got some souvenirs.

Then we went to Little India to go to a market and shop for a bit.

Headed to the airport and our Singapore trip came to an end!



So...

Singapore has many delicious food and also beautiful sightseeing sites.

For me personally as a person coming from Japan, we don't have many international shops in Japan such as Sephora, Victoria's Secret and so on so shopping was really fun for me. 

I would love to go again for food mainly because everything we had was just speechless.

The hotel we stayed at was 30Bencoolen Hotel. The hotel doesn't really have amenities so if you plan to stay here, make sure to bring them or get them when you arrive at Singapore.

The swimming pool was small but it was still very relaxing as not many people used it when we went.

Go to Singapore and enjoy the food and everything else!

August 2018 for about a week I was at the Maldives.

If you're deciding whether you should go, GO!

We decided to go there just out of the blue and booked out hotel around May for fun.
Obviously with free cancellation until right before we went.

When I booked the hotel I had no idea what the Maldives was like but just that it was a country with many islands and beaches.

After I booked the hotel, I knew that it was a Muslim country and also the fact that there are resort islands and local islands. On resort islands, the law doesn't apply but in local islands, the Muslim rules apply. Such as, no alcohol, and not much of skin revealing.

The hotel we booked was called Arena Beach Hotel on a local island called Maafushi.

By the end of the week, the people there and on the island were so nice that I was so sad to leave. The staff were kind and since the island is so small you meet the same people a lot of times and they'll remember you!

Anyways, we arrived at Male airport the first day at around 12pm. To get from Male airport to Maafushi you need to go to Male first on a public ferry which takes about 10minutes and then get on another public ferry which was $2 per person and takes 90minutes to get to Maafushi.(Probably best to get on the taxi from where you get off at Male from the ferry and where you get on the ferry to Maafushi. The taxi only costs about $2-$3 and it's like "all you can ride".) Please do check the public ferry timetable before hand as there only maximum of 2 public ferries a day to maafushi and even one on somedays. No public ferries on Friday.

Or the alternative way is to book a speedboat from Male airport to Maafushi directly which only takes 30minutes but costs $25 per person. I am sure you can arrange it with the hotel but we booked it online at iCom Tours. I do recommend booking it though when you arrive at Male since when we arrived it was a public holiday in the Maldives and no public ferries were running that day. So you never know what happens!

As soon as we arrived at the airport we easily found the iCom staff. Well they found us to be precise. Took the speedboat to Maafushi and at the jetty harbour the hotel staff was waiting for us. 5minute walk to the hotel from the harbour and checked in. The room was a bit dark but it was clean and we had a nice view from the shared balcony. If you have sensitive hair, bring conditioner or hair oil because they don't have conditioners in the hotel nor any stores in the Maldives. 

We just went for a walk on the island, ate dinner and went to sleep for the day since we were exhausted from the long flight. 

The next day, we went out to explore the island further. So earlier I mentioned the public holiday. It wasn't just a normal public holiday but it went on for a few days and the people all over Maldives apparently was shooting water paint, had face paint all over their faces, had colourful tshirts covered in paint, throwing coloured water bags at each other. We were told that it would start from 11am so changed into anything we didnt mind getting paint all over. I got face paint all over my face by the end of it and my shirt was just... colourful. It was fun though just since we didn't have any props we couldn't really shoot or throw any coloured water back at them but real fun!

In the evening, we went night fishing with the hotel crew and some other guests. I think it was $25 per person and you eat whatever you fish for dinner. So you fish, they cook it back at the hotel, and eat! Definitely should go! We had time after fishing until dinner was served so we did Shisha for about 45minutes for $10. Since they don't have alcohol, I guess shisha was just really common there. Dinner was absolutely amazing and delicious. Don't worry if you can't fish anything by the way because the crew are so pro at fishing and those are also served so you'll have plenty to eat.

The next day, we went to the bikini beach which is the only place in Maafushi where you can wear a bikini and also right in front of the hotel we stayed at. Just sunbathed and chilled for the day.

The day after we also chilled, ate lunch at the hotel and did 20minutes of funtube experience! This was so fun. Definitely recommend it! 

We ate dinner at the hotel. It was a nice buffet and only $12 per person excluding drinks. Probably the nicest place to have dinner on the island.

On the last day at the day before we left, we went to Male leaving Maafushi at 7:30AM on a public ferry. We thought there were going to be a lot of places to explore but turns out we didn't have much time and also the fact that a lot of cars and bikes running crazy put us off a bit from going on an adventure but we went to the fish market and went to a nearby restaurant with the perfect view and nice seafood paella.

Also fruit and vegetable market where they mostly had bananas hanging.

They also had a supermarket called "sto people's choice" which had many products like spices, teas, non-alcoholic flavoured beer and alls sorts. Most of our time in Male was spent just walking around and enjoying the culture really.

Back in Maafushi, last night we ate the buffet at our hotel again. 

The next morning we had our speedboat booked to leave at 8AM so ate breakfast at the hotel where we said goodbye to the staff.

Checked out, got on the speedboat and flew back to Japan.

I know it's long but hope this helps! Overall Maafushi is such a friendly and warm hearted island that I will definitely go back some day again!
